Majority of the telco companies in Nigeria (Airtel, Glo, MTN) are taking advantage of the initiative by the NCC to drop the data floor price, to deliver data plans with affordable prices. In lieu of this, Airtel has introduced a new 3GB data plan which goes for N1000 only.
The Airtel 3GB Data Plan gives 3GB/3000MB of Data for 30 days (a standard month) and virtually anyone or any device can use it. There is no hidden or complicated setting involved and also unlike the Glo BIS 3GB plan, it does not involve the tweaking of the device’s IMEI to a Blackberry smartphone’s own.
How To Subscribe and Check Balance
Subscribing and checking the balance of the Airtel 3GB Data plan is easy and straightforward. To subscribe, the user simply needs to dial *431#; meanwhile Dial *140# to check the data balance which should be sent over via SMS.
In January, Airtel announced two new affordable plans – the Unlimited Night Browsing plan (N100 for 1hr, N200 for 3hrs and N500 for 6hrs) and the Airtel Weekend Plan that gives 1GB for N100 during the period. Who has tried this plan? Did it work for you? What are your experiences with it? Let us know.
