At the MWC 2016, Alcatel has announced its first ever laptop-tablet hybrid or 2-in-1 tablet device – the Alcatel PLUS 10. The Windows 10 powered device which comes with a detachable keyboard is expected to arrive in markets in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East by June 2016.
Backed by a 5830mAh battery, the Alcatel PLUS 10 sports a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z8350 processor clocked at 1.92GHz along with 2GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for storge expansion (up to 64GB).
The cameras are a moderate front facing 2MP camera and a rear facing 5MP camera. While the PLUS 10 is Wi-Fi only, the keyboard comes bundled with a 4G Modem for cellular connectivity and can serve as a Wi-Fi Hotspot when needed with up to 15 devices able to enjoy this.
The keyboard also comes with a 2580mAh battery of its own which contributes positively to the battery life of the tablet (total – 8410mAh i.e up to 8 hours of usage). The Alcatel PLUS 10 is available in Black, White & Silver colour options; and can be used in three modes – dock, laptop and tablet.
