Archos announced the Archos Diamond 2 Note with flagship-level specs along with the Archos Diamond 2 Plus ahead of the MWC 2016, where both devices will be showcased. It is expected to arrive in May running Stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and a price tag of £249.
Measuring 158.35 x 82.7 x 8.7 mm in dimensions and weighing 150 grams in size; the Archos Diamond 2 Note has an all metal body build and sports a 6-inch IPS LCD borderless display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) screen resolution, 2.5D Curved Glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The device relies on an octa-core Mediatek MT6795 (Helio X10) 64-bit processor clocked at 2.0GHz with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage and is backed by a 3610mAh battery with fast charging technology (up to 80% in 45 minutes).
The Archos Diamond 2 Note supports 2G, 3G & 4G (LTE Cat.4) networks and is equipped with Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano/microSD) with the second SIM slot also acting as a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. It also act as a Remote Control and has the Smart PA for sound amplification.
In the camera aspect, there is front facing 8MP camera with BSI sensor, 84-degree wide angle lens, f/2.2 aperture and rear facing 16MP camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, Dual LED flash and 4K video recording.
