ASUS Republic of Gamers unveiled STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070, find Indian price hard-reset.net

The Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced Strix GeForce GTX 1080 as well as GTX 1070. These two are VR-ready graphics cards with ultra-fast gaming performance, most advanced cooling technology built-in and also offers great personalization as per your liking. The new Asus graphics cards are based on NVIDIA’s GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 reference card designs respectively but offer a way better options over the stock ones. Both the GPUs shares similar technologies and comes with overclocking facilities too. The GTX 1080 is already available for purchase in India for INR 60000 (excluding taxes), and the GTX 1070 will hit the store shelves worldwide on June 10th. The Taiwanese electronics maker has integrated various new technologies into brand new Strix GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070. Both are promising to outshine the competition with enhanced performance using overclocking approach and the engineers at Asus have managed to bless these two GPUs with up to 30% cooler and 3x quieter performance. Moreover, Asus is upping the ante with the industry exclusive Auto-Extreme technology for premium quality and reliability.

ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070

If you are interested in math, the Strix GTX 1080 is clocked at 1936 MHz in overclocking mode, which ensures the increased performance up to 6.5% in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme and 7.4% improved performance in Hitman®. Meanwhile, the Strix GTX 1070 clocks at slightly lower 1860 MHz in OC mode and offers up to 7.1% enhanced performance in 3D Fire Strike Extreme and 8.5% faster gaming performance in Doom®. As we said earlier, both the cards have got similar technologies exclusively developed by Asus. Starting off with the DirectCU III, which is an Asus custom designed patented triple wing-blade 0dB fan design to ensure the maximum airflow. The new cards run 30% cooler and three times quieter than the reference designs.

The ASUS FanConnect is another exclusive technology that will lend intelligence to the chassis fans to calculate the CPU as well as GPU temperatures to keep the things cool at any given time. In case you do not know, the chassis fans only reference CPU temperatures, which lead the GPU to get hot in the very short period while gaming. The Asus FanConnect solves this issue using two 4-pin GPU-controlled headers, which make sure the optimal thermal performance.

Apart from the under the hood technologies, Asus indeed focused on the quality and customization of the cards. The Auto-Extreme technology is an industry-exclusive trick to ensure consistent graphics card quality with improved performance and longevity. The lighting is capable of displaying millions of colors and users are allowed to personalize the gaming system with six different effects. These two Strix GPU cards are VR-ready too and offer two HDMI ports, which allow the gamers to connect a VR device and display at the same time. It removes the hassle of swapping the cables. Most of the gamers love to records gameplays. For this category of people, Asus is shipping a $99 value XSplit Gamecaster premium software, which let the gamers stream or record gameplay easily. The software also displays temperature, GPU clock speed, VRM usage right on the screen. The GPU Tweak II controls will provide the options to choose a different gaming profile and boost the performance with a simple click. The Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 is already available worldwide. If you are residing in India, you can buy it for INR 60000 (excluding of taxes). Meanwhile, the GTX 1070 will be available worldwide from June 10th onwards. No pricing info just yet.
