Asus released three new smartphones under the Zenfone 3 series during Computex 2016 in Taipei. One is standard Zenfone 3 model, and another one is flagship level Deluxe model and the final one is a super big Zenfone 3 Ultra. All the devices are set to release in the Philippines in August. However, Asus has a surprise for its fans. Let’s see what that is.
According to the source, the high-end model Zenfone 3 Deluxe is powered by faster Snapdragon 820 chipset, but the actual commercial model will be released with even faster Snapdragon 823 SoC in few Asian regions such as Philippines and India. The piece of information reportedly confirmed by Asus Global to the source. We know that Asus will hold special launch events in majority countries to announce the Zenfone 3 series of devices and its prices in respective countries so that we will hear more information about it later.

To remind you, the Snapdragon 823 is rumored to be the same chipset as Snapdragon 820 but with a higher clock speed of up to 3.0 GHz and it will support 8GB of RAM and same X12 LTE modem with 600Mbps download speeds, which you can see with Snapdragon 820 also. We heard a couple of rumors earlier that Qualcomm will release the S823 chipset very soon and the Galaxy Note 6 (or Note 7), Nubia X8 will be powered by this unannounced chipset. We can’t confirm this rumor as of now, then take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more info.
