Asus ZenFone Max Now Available In India
The Asus ZenFone Max, latest ZenFone series smartphone which was disclosed in India earlier this month, was available in India from yesterday. The smartphone will be going on sale through online partners as well as offline retailers. Priced around Rs. 9,999, the Asus ZenFone Max earlier went up for pre-order through Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. The Taiwanese company, as committed, will be also selling the ZenFone Max through offline retail channels including the Asus Exclusive stores. Asus India in a press statement said that all sets to expand the self-branded exclusive stores to 30,000 by end of 2016. Till today, company had 100 stores in India.
The biggest USP of the new ZenFone Max is its 5000mAh powerful battery which the company proclaims can work as a power bank for other devices. Importantly, the battery on the handset is non-removable. The company promised that the ZenFone Max can deliver upto 914 hours of standby time and upto 38 hours of talk time. With a powerful 5000mAh battery, the ZenFone Max will be in competition against several handsets featuring a similar battery capacity such as Gionee Marathon M4, Lenovo Vibe P1, etc.
For specifications, the ZenFone Max features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280) pixels IPS display and operates on ZenUI 2.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor registered at 1GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. It also comes with 16GB of in-built storage which can be expandable upto 64GB through microSD card slot. The handset looks similar to other ZenFone series smartphones in India, and supports all Indian LTE bands. It also packs accelerometer, compass, proximity, and ambient light sensors. The dual-SIM smartphone also comes with a 13MP rear primary camera with dual LED flash and also comes with a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. Other connectivity options include 3G, GPRS, GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
