Canon Launches New Ixus & EOS Series Cameras
Canon India has launched a bunch of new cameras to its Ixus series as well as introduced two brand new EOS mirror-less cameras. The point-and-shoot lineup gets the Ixus 285 HS, Ixus 180, and Ixus 175 with prices starting at Rs. 7,995. The EOS M10 is its lightest mirror-less camera, launched for Rs. 39,995, while the EOS M3 will retail for Rs. 49,995. The new Ixus models are basically designed for beginners, who simply want an easy-to-use compact camera.
All three models come with a 20MP sensor (CMOS for the IXUS 285 HS and CCD for the IXUS 180 or 175) camera and are powered by Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor. The Ixus 285 is the only one with full-HD video recording and priced around Rs. 12,995. The Ixus 180 gets slightly lower zoom levels and comes with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity features. This model will cost you around Rs. 7,995. Finally, the Ixus 175 gets 8x optical zoom, is the lightest one and is priced around Rs. 6,995.
The EOS M3 comes with a 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor camera, and the newer Hybrid CMOS AF III auto-focusing system. The camera is powered by Canon’s DIGIC 6 image processor and also features a touch-screen LCD with tilt performance. Video recording maxes out at 1080p and you can get up to four shots per second with burst mode. Canon’s EOS M10 comes with an 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor camera, Hybrid CMOS AF II. Just like M3, the M10 is also powered by a DIGIC 6 image processor and has full-HD video recording capability.

With the launch of our new camera series, Canon has set another benchmark in the field of mirror-less cameras market.”
