Gigabyte GSmart Roma RX comes with an attractive design. It sports a large 5.0″ IPS LCD display and slim bezel on the front panel. The curved corners give an ergonomic feel to this device. You can hold it comfortably despite the large size. You might be able to operate it with one hand, but if you have small hands it’s much easier to use both hands. The display has a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (196 ppi pixel density) which is actually quite low for its size. It’s a bit disappointing because better visuals and wide viewing angles would give more joy to the users. The touchscreen supports multitouch up to 2 fingers. It allows you to navigate through menus smoothly. Basic features like Accelerometer and Proximity sensor at included.
Gigabyte GSmart Roma RX is installed with Android v4.4 (KitKat) operating system. Under the hood, a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor works together with 512 MB of RAM. The specs are not impressive at all, but it has what it needs to do simple tasks. Apps can be launched properly. It doesn’t offer smooth transition between menus. You may find it a bit laggish in certain occasions. The phone has dual SIM support which means you’ll be able to use two different providers simultaneously. It’s definitely an advantage since you can use your gadget more efficiently. For the storage it has 4 GB built-in memory. You can expand the storage capacity by using external memory card up to 32 GB. The phone has standard connectivity features. It includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot; Bluetooth v4.0; and microUSB v2.0.
The phone is equipped with a modest 5 MP camera on the back of its body. It has some supporting features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and video recording capability. The camera is pretty reliable for social media purpose. You will only have a VGA camera on the front panel. It’s definitely not a great camera for taking pictures but it might be useful for video calling. Other included features: GPS with A-GPS, FM radio, Email, Instant Messaging, HTML5 browser, MP3/AAC+/WAV player, MP4/H.264 player, Document viewer, Photo editor, Video editor and more.
