Lots of companies have introduced affordable 4G LTE capable smartphones lately, and the latest to do so is Lava. From the past couple of months, the Indian smartphone maker launched a total of six new 4G devices, out of which five are smartphones another one is a tablet. The Lava X81 and X46 announced today, strutting down the market with pretty impressive specs. On the other hand, the company also launched three new affordable models — Lava A72, Lava A76, and Lava A89. Right off the bat, the trio of affordable offerings shares more or less the same hardware, but the Lava A76 is behind a bit. Here is the quick rundown of what’s under their hoods.
The Lava X81 and X46 sports a 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution, clocking in at 401 ppi. In addition, the Lava X81 featuring 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection top of it. They house a 1.3GHz MediaTek 64-bit Quad Core Processor along with 4G LTE connectivity onboard, both packing dual-SIM card slots to keep connect with your friends and family.

As for the memory, the Lava X81 is available with 16GB of internal storage with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, while the Lava X46 is available with 8GB of storage and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. However, the capacity of both the models is expandable via a microSD card. The another significant difference between the two is that the Lava X81 is equipped with a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, while the Lava X46 fitted with an 8-megapixel main snapper. They both have 5-megapixel F2.4 front shooters with 84-degree wide-angle lens. Interestingly, the latter has a front LED flash, and the former has only LCD flash for the front camera.
Lastly, the Lava X81 is powered by a 2700mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Meanwhile, the Lava X46 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and 2500mAh Battery. When it comes to pricing, the Lava X81, and X46 will be set at INR 11499 and INR 7999, respectively.
Next is the Lava A series smartphones, the Lava A72 and Lava A89 features a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, whereas the Lava A76 flaunts a 4.5-inch WVGA 800×480 pixels screen. The latest 4G smartphones from Lava packs a 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, a microSD slot, Dual SIM, 4G LTE, and these run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. However, the Lava A72’s upgrading to Marshmallow is imminent. The handsets will also run Stock Android User Interface on top.
The Lava A72 and Lava A89 comes with 5MP/5MP and 5MP/2MP camera combos with LED flash, respectively. On the other hand, the Lava A76 got the low-resolution selfie camera at the up front. It’s got a 5MP rear camera and VGA front-facing shooters with LED flash. The Lava A72, A76, and A89 backed by 2500mAh, 1850mAh and 2000mAh batteries, respectively. The Lava A72, and A76 are priced at INR 6499 and INR 5699, respectively. The Lava A89, on the other hand, will set you back at INR 5999.

Apart from 4G smartphones, Lava also launched new 4G tablet a couple of weeks ago called IvoryS 4G. The tablet is poised to be an entry-level offering judging by its specifications. The IvoryS 4G comes with a 7-inch IPS HD (1280 x 800 pixels) display, Dual SIM, and Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is powered by a 1GHz Quad-core MediaTek 6735 processor plus 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that’s expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card.
Also, it boasts a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash as well as 3.2-megapixel selfie shooter and a slightly smaller 3000mAh battery that claims to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time. The IvoryS 4G has been priced at INR 8799.

Finally, Lava has added two new devices to it’s on growing Android smartphones portfolio in the country — Lava A82 and Lava A79 — which lacks 4G connectivity onboard. The Lava A82 is the cheapest amongst this two, which is priced at INR 5299. Coming to Lava A79, the smartphone will be available for INR 5699.
According to Lava, the Lava A82 features a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with microSD card support and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop (Upgradable to Android M). Other specifications of the smartphone include Dual SIM, 5MP rear camera as well 2MP front shooter with LED flash and 2000mAh battery.
On the other hand, The Lava A79 sports a 5.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2GHz Quad-core processor. There is a 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB of internal storage with the option to insert a microSD card up to 32GB.
The camera department includes 5MP rear camera as well 2MP front shooter with LED flash. On the connectivity front, the smartphone features Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and FM Radio. It has packed 2200mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
