Honor 5A Smartphone with 5.5″ HD display, Kirin 620 SoC Launched in China hard-reset.net

The company had earlier launched the Honor 5X, Honor 5X Plus, and Honor 5C smartphones in China while only Honor 5X made available in India. Now, Honor has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone especially targeted to youth in the honor five series handset in China, named as Honor 5A. It is the successor of the honor 4A smartphone that was launched in last year. The handset comes with textured finish polycarbonate body based on alloy frame build, which gives the extra comfort and stability while holding the device. The Honor 5C smartphone was launched in April 2016, which also came in basic level specifications with the price tag of 899 Yuan.

Honor 5A

The Honor 5A smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch IPS HD display with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution and offers 267 PPI of pixel density. Under the hood, it relies on Kirin 620 octa-core processor clocks at 1.2 GHz paired with ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU. It is running on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with customized Emotion UI 4.1 out of the box. The handset supports dual SIM and dual standby and offers 4G LTE with VoLTE.

Connectivity options on Honor 5A include Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0, FM radio, 3.5 mm audio jack and Wi-Fi. It houses a 16GB built-in storage which will be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot and 2GB RAM. As per as cameras are concerned, it bears a 13-megapixel autofocus primary camera, which can be recording videos upto 1080p at 30 frames per second. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling.

The Honor 5A smartphone comes powered by a 3100 mAh capacity battery that can deliver 28 hours of talk time and gives a standby time up to 260 hours. It measures 154.3 x 77.1 x 8.45 mm of dimensions and is the weight around 168 grams. The handset will be available in Gold, Pink, Blue, Black and White color options. It is priced at 699 Yuan (approx. $106 / Rs. 7110) for regular variant and 799 Yuan (approx. $121 / Rs. 8110) for entire network / China Telecom variant. It will start the pre-orders from today onwards up to June 16th and shipping starts from June 17th in China.

Recently, the company had launched Honor V8 smartphone with dual rear cameras and available in Glacier Silver, Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Platinum color options. It was priced at 2299 Yuan for 32 GB storage with Full HD screen and 2799 Yuan for 64GB memory with Quad HD display. It also available 32 GB ROM with Full HD resolution and NFC included for 2499 Yuan.
