  • Turn your phone off and boot it into Fastboot mode. Now connect your phone to your PC.

Step 3: Run Odin and root Samsung Galaxy J5

  • Now you need to run Odin from CF Auto Root directory that you extracted earlier. You will find a file named Odin3.exe in that folder. Double click this file to run Odin on your PC.
  • As soon as Odin starts and your phone is connected to your PC via USB, you should see a message “Added” in Odin window.
  • Look for a PDA button on screen. Click it and select the file that ends with .md5 from the CF Auto Root folder.
  • Click Start and wait for flashing to end. This process will root Samsung Galaxy J5.
