The domestic smartphone maker, Intex has recently launched a mid-range smartphone in its Aqua series called as Intex Aqua Ace II priced at Rs. 8,999 with decent features like 5-inch HD display, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, VoLTE support and 3000mAh battery. Today, the brand has launched a dirt cheap smartphone in its Cloud series called as Intex Cloud Gem+. The smartphone comes with all the necessary specifications and will be targeted towards the low-end category users. The Cloud Gem+ is priced at Rs. 3,299 and is currently available for purchase online exclusively via Snapdeal. The smartphone is also expected to be available for sale via offline markets in coming days.
Coming to the specifications part, the Intex Cloud Gem+ comes with a 4-inch (800×480 pixels) WVGA display that offers a pixel density of 240ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, MediaTek MT6580M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali-400 GPU and 512MB of RAM. With this little amount of RAM, we cannot expect decent performance from the device. It has 4GB of inbuilt storage out of which only 1GB is available for the end user and also includes an externalSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 32GB. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI out of the box.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie images. Like other Intex devices, the smartphone also comes with pre-installed apps like Matrabhasha, i-Store, Intex Service, OLX, and Opera Mini. The handset powers a 1400mAh battery that is rated to deliver upto 4 hours of talk time and upto 400 hours of standby time. It includes essential connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The dimensions of the device measure 126 x 64 x 10.3 mm weighs around 114 grams and comes in White and Black color variants.
