Gigabyte GSmart Essence comes with dual SIM capability. It allows you to use two different providers simultaneously so you can save your budget. You can manage them according to your needs. For example, one card can be used for voice communication purpose and the other for data connection. The phone sports 4.5″ IPS LCD touchscreen which is spacious enough for large fingers. It supports multitouch up to 2 fingers. The onscreen keyboard has good accuracy so you can type comfortably. The screen has a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (218 ppi pixel density) which is pretty low for its size. You won’t be able to enjoy superb quality visuals, but at least it’s still acceptable to support simple tasks. Basic features like Accelerometer and Proximity sensor are included.

A quad-core 1.2 GHz processor is paired with Mali-400 GPU and 512 MB of RAM. There is nothing special in terms of performance. However, the phone is still capable of doing simple tasks well. Apps can be launched properly although it may take a bit longer when the memory is full. You may notice some lags but they shouldn’t be serious. As long as the device is not overburdened it will work fine. To store your files, the phone provides 8 GB of internal storage. You can add external memory card up to 32 GB to expand the storage capacity. Connectivity features are pretty standard. It includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot; Bluetooth v2.1, EDR; and microUSB v2.0.

A modest 5 MP camera is embedded on the back of the phone. This main camera has some supporting features like LED flash, geotagging,,autofocus and video recording capability. It’s good enough for everyday use. The photos are useable for social media purpose. A secondary 2 MP camera is attached on the front panel. You can use it to take selfies or make video calls. The quality of the results is not impressive but still acceptable.   1. From Main Menu go to Settings.
  2. Find Backup and Reset option.
  3. Select Factory Data Reset.
  4. Tap Reset Phone.
  5. Select Erase Everything.
