Motorola Launches Moto X Force ‘Shatterproof’ Smartphone
Motorola is highly excited to launch its Moto X Force ‘Shatterproof’ smartphone in India today. Appraising that the Motorola Moto X Force was introduced in UK with a price tag of GBP 499 (roughly around Rs. 49,900 in India currency) for the 32GB variant, and a GBP 534 (roughly around Rs. 53,400 in Indian currency) for the 64GB variant, we can expect the India pricing to be around the same price range. Ahead of Motorola’s today launch, the much expected ‘Shatterproof smartphone was listed by a third-party retailer last week implying that the company may for the first time launch its device with more retailers, rather going its usual exclusive launch on e-commerce partner Flipkart.
The biggest USP of the Moto X Force, which is an international variant of the Droid Turbo 2 for Verizon Wireless, is the ‘Shatter-Shield’ display. The company in the month of October said that the display is made with an aluminium rigid core, flexible Amoled screen, and dual-layer touch-screen panels that – wouldn’t break into pieces even when dropped on a slab or on hard surface. Additionally, the smartphone comes with water-repellent nano-coating too.
When we talk about specifications, the Moto X Force features a 5.4-inch QHD (1440×2560) pixel resolution display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC registered at 2GHz with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The smartphone also comes in 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options that can be expandable upto 2TB through Micro SIM slot. The Motorola Moto X comes with a 3760mAh powerful battery capacity with Quick Charging feature and also on board there is a 21MP rear primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture, dual-LED flash and Phase Detect Autofocus, and also a 5MP front facing camera for selfies and video chatting with flash and an f/2.0 aperture. The Motorola smartphone operates on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and supports single-SIM with 4G LTE (Cat. 4), and certain connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, GPS and other standard connectivity options.
