Lenovo has announced two new mid-range smartphones from the Vibe series – the Lenovo Vibe K5 and Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus at the Mobile World Congress 2016. Both affordable devices are available for a price tag of $129 and $149 respectively in Champagne Gold and Platinum Silver colours.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 (a.k.a Lenovo K5) sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor while the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus (a.k.a Lenovo K5 Plus) sports the same 5-inch display but with a (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD resolution and relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor.
Both devices pack 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage space, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and are backed by a removable 2750mAh battery. For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera and a rear facing 13-megapixel AutoFocus camera with LED flash.
Both the Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus use Dual SIM slots, supports standard connectivity options including 4G LTE, dual rear cameras and Dolby Atmos support. Apps such as SHAREit, SNAPit, Guvera Music and more come pre-loaded on the device for productivity and social sharing.
