The Oukitel C2 is the one of the latest entry-level smartphone from Chinese smartphone maker, Oukitel. The 3G-only device has been listed up on the company’s official English website along with some of the specifications but pricing and availability details is not stated.
Based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Oukitel C2 sports a 4.5-inch IPS display (screen resolution expected is – 854 x 480 pixels FWVGA), powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6580A processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in expandable storage space.
In the camera aspect, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and a rear facing 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
The Oukitel C2 has Dual SIM slots, supports 2G and 3G networks with no support for LTE as well as GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device also supports OTA which means there are chances the Android Marshmallow OS update could find its way to it in the not too distant future.
PS: Oukitel Malaysia posted about the C2 being available from an authorised distributor – MCL BHD (Malaysia) for a price tag of MYR 299 (USD 71). Available colour options are Black, Blue, Gray and White.
