Realme 2 is the affordable budget smartphone that is launched recently in India with 4230mAh Battery, dual 4G, VoLTE support, and up to 4GB of RAM. Such features in low budget price is really impressive. The smartphone was launched on Tuesday in an event in Delhi. The Realme was the sub-brand of Oppo but now it becomes an independent brand in the Indian market.

The Realme 2 is the successor of Realme 1. Both devices are priced the same in the market. Both smartphones come with almost similar specs and design and also has the same price tag which makes confused to people in taking buying decision. Why Company launched the Realme 2 with a similar price within a very short period of its predecessor launch. Is realme 2 is better than Realme 1?

The Realme 2 priced in India for Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage variant and Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. Launch offers for the Realme 2 include an Rs. 750 discount on HDFC Bank credit and debit card purchases, up to 120GB additional data and benefits worth up to Rs. 4,200 from Reliance Jio, and no-cost EMI options.

The Realme is already available to buy in India for rs 10,990 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant and rs 13990 for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant.

The Realme 2 will go on sale in India on 4th September via Flipkart on. It will be available in Diamond Black and Diamond Red colour options while the Diamond Blue option will go on sale in early October. At this price point,  Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 and Xiaomi Mi A2 will be the strong competitor of the device.

The Realme 2 features are really attractive, it includes all the latest technology features to provide the smart mobile user experience. The Realme 2 runs pn Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, and sports a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC along with 3GB/ 4GB RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB of onboard storage. Storage will be expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).

On camera front, the smartphone has 13MP primary camera with beautifying, filter, HDR, panorama, ultra HD and 8MP front-facing camera. The storage of the phone includes 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory expandable up to 256GB and dual SIM (nano+nano) dual-standby (4G+4G).

The Realme 1 is powered by 13MP primary camera with beautify, filter, HDR, panorama, ultra HD and 8MP front-facing camera. It has a (6-inch) 1080p FHD capacitive touchscreen with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone runs on Android v8.1 Oreo operating system.

The device is powered by 2GHz MTK Helio P60 AI octa core processor with 8-cores CPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory expandable up to 256GB. It houses a 3410mAH lithium-ion battery providing talk-time of 30 hours and standby time of 380 hours.

The device comes with modern features like face unlock, a long-lasting 4,230mAh battery, dual 4G VoLTE support, and up to 4GB of RAM.

However, the company didn’t meet the user’s expectations of the successor in term of storage. The Real me comes in up to 4GB RAM variant while the predecessors also have 6GB RAM variant. The Realme 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC.

Also, it does sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor like it’s the previous version, so in both cases, the company missed out on the more convenient fingerprint scanner. The Realme 2 comes with the more powerful battery than Realme 1. The launch of Realme 2 is really a surprise by the company.
