Samsung Launched Galaxy Note 5 With Dual SIM
After launching the Galaxy Note 5 last year, Samsung today started selling the Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM slot variant in India. The new smartphone offers 32GB and 64GB storage options and comes with a price of around Rs 47,900 (32GB version) and Rs 53,505 (64GB version). The Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM is completely identical to the previous one Galaxy Note 5, but the main difference is it ships with two nano SIM card slots. The dual SIM phones are quite popular in India.
The Galaxy Note 5 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by the company’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,000mAh non-removable powerful battery capacity. Speaking of which, you also get a fast charging tech here, both wired and wireless. The smartphone also comes with a 16MP rear primary camera which is located on the back of this phablet, and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. The handset operates on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with the company’s TouchWiz UI available on top of it. The Galaxy Note 5 measures dimensions of (153 x 76 x 7.6) mm, while it weighs around 171 grams. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, finger print scanner and heart rate sensor.
“In the high-end segment, we saw a very strong trend of people using dual-SIMs in our A series smartphones. Consumers want a premium device, which has a local SIM and space for another SIM. We will continue doing products that will address an opportunity and we will drive the dual-SIM market in the premium segment, starting with the Note 5,” said Manu Sharma, Director of Product Marketing at Samsung India during addressing a conference. The Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM comes in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Silver Titanium color options.
