Vivo Y51 Launched With 4G Support
Another Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has introduced its new Y51L smartphone in India priced around Rs. 11,980. The company proclaimed that Vivo Y51L smartphone is its first model which will be assembled at its own manufacturing plant in Greater Noida. The Chinese company says that it expects to expand its market share in budgetary smartphone segment with its new offering. Notably, the new Y51L smartphone is a variant of the previous one Y51, which was launched last month. Both the handsets are identical innards according to Vivo.
The dual-SIM supporting Vivo 51L operates on the FunTouch OS 2.5 registered on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 5-inch IPS display with a (540×960) pixel screen resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor registered at 1.2GHz and 2GB of RAM. There is a 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expandable upto 128GB through a microSD card slot. The Vivo Y51L sports an 8MP rear primary camera with LED flash, apart this there is also a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. The handset additionally features Night mode, HDR, Panorama, and Face Beauty modes. The rear camera also supports full-HD (1080p) video recording feature in the handset.
The Vivo Y51L supports all Indian 4G LTE bands (2300MHz and 1800MHz) along with GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and Micro-USB connectivity options. Measuring dimensions of (143x71x7.52) mm, the smartphone weighs around 157 grams and is backed by a 2350mAh powerful Li-Po battery capacity. The handset also packs an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and digital compass. The smartphone is also comes with a back glass cover. Addressing on the launch, Alex Feng, CEO of Vivo India stated that “Previous year, we registered huge sales and positive demand for products in the budget range across Indian markets, which motivate us to launch the Vivo Y51L. The new launch will further strengthen our hold on the market”.
