Xiaomi Launches Redmi 3
Before of its Tuesday scheduled launch, Xiaomi has officially disclosed the Redmi 3 smartphone. Priced around CNY 699 (i.e. approximately Rs.7,000 in India), the Xiaomi Redmi 3 smartphone is now listed on the company’s official website in China along with pricing details. At this price gateway, the Redmi 3 will compete some of the other budget popular handsets such as Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, Meizu m2 note, etc. As provoked by the company, the Redmi 3 features an all-metal body and equips a textured back-side panel with a design that is believe to be inspired by “the stars in the night sky” which is the unique feature of Smartphone.
When we talk about specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280) pixels resolution display and packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, with four cores registered at 1.2GHz, and four cores at 1.5GHz. The smartphone also includes 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, Adreno 405 GPU, as well as 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expandable upto 128GB through micro-SD card slot. One of the biggest USP of the Redmi 3 is its 4100mAh non-removable powerful battery. It operates on MIUI 7 though Xiaomi has not disclosed the Android version on the Redmi 3.
On the camera front, the Redmi 3 equips with a 13MP rear primary camera with LED flash, PDAF autofocus and also supports 1080p full-HD video recording. There is also a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats that also supports full-HD recording. The dual-SIM Redmi 3 arrives with hybrid SIM slot that support one Micro-SIM and other Nano-SIM alongside microSD card. For connectivity options, the Redmi 3 comes with 4G LTE, with support for LTE bands that are available in India. Other important options include Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro-USB and Wi-Fi. It measures dimensions of (139x69x8.5) mm and weighs around 144 grams. The handset is available in Gold, Grey and Silver colours according to Xiaomi.
