YU seems all set to launch a new smartphone to compete with the likes of LeEco Le 1s, Lenovo K4 Note and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. After launching the YU Yutopia in December last year, the company seems geared up launch new smartphones. Last week, we came across leaked specifications of the unannounced YU6000 smartphone with a 6-inch full HD display. The latest leak, courtesy of import site Zauba and benchmark listing on GFXBench sheds light on yet another unannounced YU smartphone.
Bearing a model number YU5200, the mysterious device was spotted on Zauba along with some basic specifications. Carrying a price tag of Rs 9,036, the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch display, dual SIM support with 4G connectivity. However, this is not the commercial price.
A smartphone with same model number was also spotted in GFXBench with full list of specifications and features. According to the benchmark result, the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and microSD card slot for further expansion.
Other features include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel selfie camera and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11n, 4G LTE, dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The YU5200 could the successor to last year’s YU Yureka Plus.
In comparison, the Yureka Plus sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display, which is slightly larger than the YU5200. Under the hood is the same Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot. With 13-megapixel auto-focus camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, a 2,500mAh battery, connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
While the Yureka Plus was pitted against Lenovo’s K3 Note, the YU5200 could face fierce competition from the likes of Lenovo K4 Note,Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeEco Le 1s.
