As expected, ZTE has announced its two newest smartphones in China, the nubia Z11 Max and Blade A2. The nubia Z11 Max is a mid-range device with several upgrades over its predecessor, while the Blade A2 comes as a successor to the affordable Blade A1 smartphone that was launched back in December 2015. Let’s find out what these two new smartphones offers to the consumers.
The nubia Z11 Max comes with mid-range specs, but it’s stylish design with metal unibody design make it look and feel more premium. In terms of specifications, the smartphone comes with a huge 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and a massive 4GB of RAM. Other specs include 64GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for adding more storage, a 16-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, Hybrid Dual SIM slot, 4G LTE connectivity and a 4000mAh battery to keep everything up and running.

The ZTE nubia Z11 Max also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dolby audio capability, and USB Type-C port. It runs on older Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with nubia UI 3.9.9 on top of it, which may disappoint consumers who are expecting the latest Android Marshmallow. The device measures 159.15 × 82.25 × 7.4 mm and weighs 185 grams.

Also, ZTE launched nubia Z11 Max Cristiano Ronaldo collector’s edition alongside standard nubia Z11 Max. It comes with laser carved Ronaldo’s image and signature on the back, and Cristiano Ronaldo themed wallpapers, back cover and also Selfie Stick.
Price & Availability:
The ZTE nubia Z11 Max is available in Silver, Gray and Gold color options, but only in China for now. The standard model is priced at 1999 yuan, which roughly equals to the US $304, while the Cristiano Ronaldo collector’s edition costs 2299 yuan, which would translate to roughly US $349 based on current exchange rates. The standard and Cristiano Ronaldo collector’s edition will go on sale in China starting from June 16 and June 18th, respectively.
The Blade A2, on the other hand, poised to be an affordable offering judging by its specifications and pricing. The handset touts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, the Blade series smartphone houses a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, which is clocked at 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Blade A2 also boasts a Mali T860 GPU and 16GB of onboard storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot up to 128GB.
The Blade A2 also has a 13-megapixel main camera with PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers. The VoLTE and Fingerprint scanner capable handset will offer Hybrid Dual SIM support and house a 2500 mAh battery. The handset comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box.
Price & Availability:
The ZTE Blade A2 will retail in two color options – Silver and Gray. The handset will hit the shelves next week, i.e. June 15th in China and retail for 699 Yuan or US $106. It will be available for purchase via jd.com in the country.
